TR4/4A New fuel pump fitment to block

bought a new Manual fuel pump from Moss and it doesn't look like it sits flush on the block. Has anyone had this issue? I put quite a bit of Holomar blue on both sides of the gasket and I thought I would get some squeeze out but I didn't. Seems like the pump is not flat or is it just me.

I would hate to start her up and have oil all over. But it won't be the first time , nor the last.

A. You could fire it up and see if it leaks, no oil under pressure there. B. You could take it off and put a straight edge on it and make sure there's no debris underneath. I'm sure Moss will make it right if it's warped.

You may not have the lever on the cam lobe correctly.

JerryVV makes a good point. I think those pumps were used in many applications with the lever arm being the difference. Could be the wrong pump. It's sometimes hard to tell if it's correct since the reproductions may have different geometry. The pump lever should compress all the way with hand pressure when you put on the pump.
