I remember "back in the day" when the TR250 came out the TR4 & TR4A's were running around them.
Thanks to you and Tom Lynch for sharing.
Not wanting to cause a thread de-rail, but tell that to the armchair sports cars experts at the car shows. "Now, this is the [insert TR250 or TR6]. It is better than the [insert 2/3/4/4A] because it has a six cylinder engine..."
Take this with a grain of salt as with everything else posted on the Internet (
Triumph 0-60 times)
Triumph TR 0 to 60 mph and Quarter Mile Times
1954 Triumph TR2 0-60 mph 12.4
1956 Triumph TR3 0-60 mph 11.8 Quarter mile 18.1
1958 Triumph TR3A 0-60 mph 11.3
1961 Triumph TR3A 0-60 mph 11.3
1962 Triumph TR4 0-60 mph 10.4 Quarter mile 17.8
1965 Triumph TR4A 0-60 mph 10.3 Quarter mile 17.3
1968 Triumph TR6 0-60 mph 10.6 Quarter mile 17.7
1975 Triumph TR7 0-60 mph 11.2 Quarter mile 18.3
1976 Triumph TR7 0-60 mph 11.3 Quarter mile18.5
1979 Triumph TR7 Convertible 0-60 mph 11.4 Quarter mile 18.2
1980 Triumph TR8 0-60 mph 8.4 Quarter mile 16.4
I found a couple of references showing the TR250 as 10.5/10.6 0-60 which roughly matches the first TR6 numbers.
