I know the feeling. Hey at least with your bum leg you can sit and do this stuff. When does the cast come off BTW.
New job this week assigned to project upgrading half a gazillion servers it seems. Working today waiting for someone else to get done so my stuff can start. Working tomorrow morning as well. Close to 18-20 hours at OT rates this week. Greatly improved cash flow but working 8 out of 9 days so far is getting old quick. But cash flow means $ to buy more stuff for Bugsy II if I ever have to work on him.

amazing - BUT, was that picture taken in your office and is there really a BE engine in the background? Enquiring minds need to know.

A link courtesy of JP on Boiled Linseed Oil. Please mind the cautions of flamability of rags and boiled linseed oil. Makes me worry about spontaneous combustion if applied to plastic parts and rubber part sitting on the workbench in open air.

Yes, its in my office. It started with the seats, then the differential, then the steering rack, drive shaft, etc. I used to have every cleaned and painted part in my office. finally I bought a storage cabinet for the garage. All that's left is what won't fit in the cabinet. I snuck the engine in around midnight one night in Feb 2013. I told SWMBO that it was just until I got the car painted. Well, I've not even shot primer yet... I have a very nice wife!

Never had a cast, metal plate in my leg. I wear a removable boot for protection. Weight bearing started two weeks ago, but its slow going.

Boiled linseed oil has been around at least since the 1700's. I've used it on everything from gunstocks to barn's. I used in on my picnic table that I built in high school some 50 years ago and its still going strong. Never been kept inside. Everything around here gets soaked with linseed oil before it gets linseed oil paint applied. No latex for me.

The caution's with linseed oil, I don't believe, are any different than with any oily rags.

Kurt.

I used to use it on paddles - sand off the varnish and oil regularly. Much nicer on the hands
