Hello All,
Installed a new "lightened" Rocker Arm Assembly (U.K source) without issue, and adjusted valves to 0.015 in. initially. Ran engine at idle to reach operating temperature. This was done with the valve cover off and to readjust valves to 0.012 in. While running at idle I observed no oil bubbling out from the oil ports at the top of rockers, unlike the old rocker arm assembly. However, oil was getting through to the rocker arm bushings.
Is it important for oil to bubble up from the top of the rockers? Will the rocker and valve tips get sufficiently lubricated? How does this area of the valve train get lubricated? By splashing oil?
Thanks.
