Have owned the car for 20 years and never had an overheating problem till today. It is 30 celcius here. Gauge temp was OK when the car was running but when I shut it off awhile later I noticed a puddle under the rad. The leak was coming from the upper rad hose connection. I tightened up the screw clamp to stop the leak there. My question is why didn't the coolant come out of the overflow tube? Does this indicate a thermostat problem? I'm running a TR6 yellow fan,the rad is in good shape, the shroud is in good shape and I'm running water wetter. I have an electric fan mounted in front of the rad which I suppose I could have flipped on when I first came to a stop if I had thought I was running hot. Any thoughts?
