TR6 TR6 Crank oil seal sleeve

My Bentley manual's unreadable on pg. 156. I need to know how to pull the collar(sleeve) in front of the oil thrower and timing gear. Crank key looks square, not a halfmoon.
Does the key hafta come out first?
Do I need this Special Puller S-341?
BTW, its a single row timing chain. Is this a TR-250 engine?

KD Tools makes an inexpensive yet effective pulling tool that will fit around the sleeve and pull it right off the crank. Do not try and pull the key out, it won't come. The sleeve will just crank right off. Drive it back on with the appropriate piece of iron pipe into which you have cut a slot to clear the key.

Exactly. Usually comes with all the needed extension bolts. Will have to use a thick washer over the end of the crank for the driving shaft to push against. Very smooth, effective way to remove the collar. When you replace the collar, just accurately align the slot in the collar with the pin on the shaft and start driving. Any very minute offset of the two will self-align upon contact, but not a large misalignment. Just a matter of good eye-balling.
Just remember that the collar has a bevel on one side and make a mental note which side it is on before you replace same.
