How many seat rebuilds? At an average speed of 50 mph, 390k miles equals 7,800 hours behind the wheel. Four years of āfull timeā work, ie driving 40 hours per week. (Sorry, Iām an engineer and gravitate towards mathsā¦)
Understand, myself hands on, via fingertips/seat of my pants clutching/shifting/Driving experiences. 3 including couple months ago rebuild (driver's side only) of OEM '72 seats, had couple small tears on side & headrest, repair included new, diaphragm & cushion. At least a dozen were overtime 22 hr trips Riverside, Ca to Seattle, Wa vice versa non-stop Breckenridge, Co to Riverside, Ca other than gas pitstop, figure they run 24 hrs at Le Mans my TR6 can do likewise 24 hrs non-stop. Retired going on 14 yrs from that word work couldn't ask for better job than Driving my TR6 a Passion that gives meaning to loving your job
Joe Thanks for looking/listening, my efforts capturing a unique phase of LBC Group Therapy, getting 2gether & Driving the reason we go through fixing/maintaining
