Sorry, I accidentally hit ENTER and cannot edit the post Title now.
Some time ago, I noticed my rebuild was missing the escutcheon under the fuel cap (the chrome trim ring that rides over the body panel but under the cap). Happily, Moss sells these for a few bucks. I thought I'd also take the opportunity to change out my original gas cap - the chrome finish had seem many better days.
To my surprise, the new cap purchased from Moss had a tiny hole drilled in it to vent the tank. Now, I can remove (or plug) that nasty fuel tank vent that spills gasoline all over the road when I make a sharp left turn with a full tank. Pity the guy who drives behind me and gets a face full of fumes.
I just wanted you all to see this in case it may help you with your future rebuilds. Was not a costly upgrade - I wish I had done it a couple years ago.
