Just a note before you read this - I have a very warped and twisted mind. But you probably already knew that because I own a british car! LoL

Ok, here is my next round of questions:

Has anyone ever put wire wheels on a mini? Are they even available and/or can they be made? HEY, I put in the disclaimer BEFORE I wrote this that I have a warped mind!! LOL Now for the twisted part - I saw an original ad for a mini traveller that was red like mine and it had white wall tires......<hears the groans and gasps right about now!> Where is the best place to get tires and are ww available??

Wait, wait, before you permanently remove my access to this forum I DID TELL YOU AT THE START I have a warped and twisted mind!!!!

<is glad rotten tomatoes and perished produce can't be sent through the internet!>

Ok , finally, I have a wood rimmed steering wheel with three arms(?), each arm has 5 holes in it. It is dished, appears to be oak(?) and the arms are aluminum(?) The rim has no rivets in it and there are NO markings anywhere on the wheel. The wheel is 15in diameter and the center is 3-3/4in diameter. I saw a very similar wheel on eBay that the seller claimed was out of a MkII Mini. It looked just like the one I have. I have no hub, mount, horn button, etc. Any thoughts on identifying the wheel and where I might get the needed hardware?

Thanks for your responses and thanks for appreciating my sense of humor!! Although I really AM interested in my wheel/tire questions.

Until next time,
Peter

I doubt there are or could be wire wheels for the Mini. Even if there were splined hub adapters (as used on a Triumph) the Mini is front wheel drive and the offset of the wheels might be very difficult to achieve on wires. I don't know this for a fact, it just doesn't seem possible to me.

Sorry, I can't help with the steering wheel question. Whatever steering wheel it is, it wouldn't have been stock on a Mk1 Mini and would require an adapter hub.
