TR4/4A 62 TR4 restore.

Hi to all

I'm new to the forum and just wanted to share my TR4 restoration. purchased the car in April and are making steady progress.

this is a photo of the car when I purchased the car

here are a few shots of the car in primer.the guy had already replaced the floor boards. but there was rust on almost every panel. Now every panel is rust free.

Fantastic. Who is doing your body work? That's a skill I'd love to learn.

For my old man, there was nothing better than a nice classic white car.

I think the TR4 actually had two colors of white. One was a later variation I think called Spa White.

there is a local guy in my town that restores British cars. His body guy is amazing and he is only 28. the car was originally spa white with black interior. All the numbers match and it has 24,760 original miles...

the interior will be black that is how the car came out of the factory.

Looks amazing, I too will be painting my TR4 white, can you advise me what the options are??? Spa White like you say is one option, but I'm sure there was another one too?

there are two whites, spa white and new white. Spa white was used up to the serial # CT 21495 March 1963. New white was from number CT21520 on. the paint code for new white showed up on the commission plate after # CT 28807 and the paint number was 19.
