During my engine rebuild I had a crankshaft end float of .010" so I ordered +.005" thrust washers. I thought the new set of thrust washers would be a total of +.005" but each thrust washer is .005" thicker so now using the new set of thrust washers I have .000" end float. I installed an old set on one side of the center main and a new set on the other side of the center main and now my end float is about .004" which is what I want. Is it permissible to mix these thrust washers or do I have to try to shave .0025" off the new thrust washers? I realize that the crankshaft will be off center by .0025" and is this a problem? Thanks and have a good day!
