While working on the TR4 I saw a loose piece of something poking out the end of the rear of the box section of frame, passenger side. I fingered it out and got this:
That's a composite showing both sides. I didn't clean it up properly in case the dirty or worn sections offered a clue. It is 1 3/4" in diameter and 1/4" thick.
Since it looks like a spacer or pad or distance piece I searched for and found a photo on the web of a TR4 body mount kit, possibly it is a slotted version of the six discs at top center:
The body has never been off the car (even still has original paint) so it either worked loose on its own or has been wandering inside the frame member for 50 years.
Any help identifying it or its proper location is appreciated.
