MGB How To Give Your MGB V8 Power - Third Edition

Offline
Just received my "hot off the press" Third Edition of Roger Williams' "How To Give Your MGB V8 Power"!

WOW!

He has outdone himself. This edition is more comprehensive in many ways and also includes Blue Oval conversions.

Many listers that have a presence on this board contributed to this project and include Dan Masters, Kurt Schley, Pete Mantell, Tom Hoagland, Dan LaGrou, and Larry Shimp. Their input really assisted in putting this edition into a higher level of reference books, in my opinion.

Roger will be a featured guest at British V8 this June in Townsend, and is also attending MG 2006 as a featured author.

Thanks for the great work, Roger and crew!

The ISBN number for this edition is: 1904788939

Standard disclaimer.

I agree with Rick - Well done, and enough new material to justify buying even if you already have the previous versions. Bring a copy to MG 2006 or British V8 2006 and get Roger to autograph it for you.

I’ve got one of the earlier editions. Pretty good but it seems to be geared mostly to UK conversions with brief blurbs that I would truly consider applicable to issues commonly encountered when doing a conversion on this side of the pond.

BTW what Ford engine did they feature in the new edition? Was it one of the newer 5.0Ls or the 4.6Ls you find in a lot of Mustangs these days?

Now the 5.0L makes sense. But the reason I asked about the 4.6L is that it’s starting to gain some popularity in some circles & some folks are starting to use them in various projects with other platforms.

Now I realize its wide but I’ve seen some pretty huge power plants stuffed & shoehorned into a few A’s & B’s.

Taking a lesson from the folks at Factory Five (Cobra Replica company) there are a lot of 5.0L Mustang GTs to be had as the base for the drive train of their products. Likewise they’ve even started using the later 4.6Ls – you just need to specify what Mustang you want to use as your donor car when ordering one of their kits.
