Chrome work is hard to find due to the fact it is one of the worst heavy metal poisons around.
Little by little ,the mom and pa shops have died out as their wastes have caused terrible health
problems due to ground water contamination.
Be prepared to pay up for even mediocre chrome work these days. It is often cheaper to just buy a new
bumper(from over seas) than even think of repair/rechrome.

I Googled chrome plating shop in LA and got at least a dozen hits. I don't know where you are located, but with a quick google you should be able to find a shop in any big city. Rural platers will likely be gone, though.

He did the plating on my TR4A. Not cheap (no one is), but competitive, and nice work. The shop seems to have a good reputation in the business; it was recommended to me by a couple of people.
Be sure to let the plater know if any important dimensions would be affected by too much chrome. I had to fashion a new bottom plate for the oil breather on my TR3 because the tube in the valve cover got too big in diameter.

Last year had TR6 left rear bumper, stromberg carbs covers, air filter housing Chromed. Battery hold down bar polished & buffed at Brother's Polish & Chrome Riverside, Ca quality work less than $500 week turn around
I think there are around 11 chrome platers in the Tulsa area. Most are specialized in certain types of work, such as hydraulic cylinder chroming for one. I had 2 cylinders rebuilt and shafts chromed for a piece of equipment, excellent work. PJ
If there's an American Cars and Coffee nearby, go see all the glimmering muscle cars and ask someone there where they go. My nearby C&C has lots of muscle and show/modified/glimmer/loud cars along with our quiet British corner!
