I am in the middle of several different jobs at the moment but they are coming along. I nearly have one seat reupolstered. I had to restring the loom under the seat foams and added a 1 inch piece of some wonderful cushioning foam that I found in a old sofa cushion and have the bottom about done, The seat back, i still need to mount a metal plate for the electric lumbar pumped cushion and put it on and then the foam and cover for that. I hope to be done with that one (drivers side), very soon and then start on the passenger one. I started mounting the top and have it all done but the latches on the top frame and drilling and mounting the male tenax fasteners on the new metal piece around the bottom. Thing is that its so dang cold in the basement right now that it demotivates me. I can work on the seats in an area that has a woodstove in it si its not that bad. Still, I am coming along. Once the top is done and the seats are in there will still be about 100 little things to be done to make it roadworthy. I think I found the part I was looking for to make my custom exhaust. I found a 1 1/2" butterfly exhaust valve for my cutout, so I can choose a straight pipe exhaust or close the valve and have a nice and quiet exhaust, or vary it to my mood. The valve came off a Suzuki GSXR motorcycle, they use the valve to vary the exhaust flow. They are one of the few to understand that a wide open pipe only benifits a wide open throttle and that you lose touque at low throttle with a wide open pipe. Anyways its all stainless steel and I got it for a song. Gonna be a shame to butcher it up but I think it is gonna be nice. I don't know if I will go with a manual cable or a power window unit to open and close the valve, yet but I am close on that design.
