Got a couple parts orders in today, so it's time to dive into the spring projects. Here's the list of things on my list:
<ul style="list-style-type: disc">[*] New brake pads and hoses[*] New Westco battery (done) and battery cables[*] New battery bins[*] Hinged battery cover (Clark and Clark, done)[*] New plastic fan (still have original metal fan) and fan shroud[*] New retractable seat belts[*] Change transmission oil and OD screen[*] Mesh screen for the air intake in front of the windscreen (done)[*] Usual oil change, air filter clean, etc[/list]
So the workbench is full of parts and the MGB is up on axle stands with the wheels up against the wall. Amazing how quickly you can turn an otherwise running car into a piece of static garage sculpture.
The magic floating MGB, ready for pulling the battery cable and brake hoses and pads (rear shoes are fine).
Battery cages look pretty clean, all things considered. Very little corrosion.
It's a silly little thing, but I like the little mesh screen under the intake grille. Keeps the big chunks out and was cheap.
