Hi Everyone,
I've just completed rebuilding a TR4A Gearbox with an "A" type overdrive for my TR3A. When I removed the standard non-overdrive gearbox (which was also from a TR4) from the car I simply lifted it out after removing the tunnel, prop-shaft and seats leaving the engine un-disturbed.
My question is can the overdrive gearbox be installed by the same method. I've noticed that the OD unit is far more bulky than the standard gearbox extension housing and was wondering if there is enough clearence to refit without having to remove the engine?
Regards,
Neil.
