After wearing an aftermarket hardtop for much of the last 18 months,
I have finally bought a REAL Healey hardtop, but of course, it needs refurbishing.
The seller was going to restore it himself and provided me with all new rubber, gaskets, hardware,
and a new back window, still in the shipping box.
The only new parts that were not included are the front corner latches.
Of the two old latches that were there, one was missing the screw down anchor piece.
Here is how it mounts in the hardtop.
Do any of you know where I could beg, borrow, or steal, or even BUY this windshield clamp anchor piece ?
Since the latches are being re-popped, I would assume that someone is buying them and might have
an old base laying around somewhere. As you all know, NONE of us ever throws anything away......
Of course, a used one would be preferable to a new one.
I plan to re-plate the clamps that I have, but I need to acquire or fabricate this piece before I get there.
If you want to contact me out of forum, my Email address is at the bottom of the home page for www.ntahc.org
Thanks in advance.
