Because it's new old stock, it would naturally be worth a lot more than a used one, but he's stating that it's unique to a Shelby and that's not true. It was an off the shelf pump that could be bought almost any where. Actually, Pep Boys sold them back in the 50s and I think they were around 30 bucks each, which was a lot of money back then. I had two or three of them at one time and because I have a lot of old fuel pumps, there might be one in a box of junk somewhere still. A lot of hot rodders had them on their cars. Also as was stated earlier, at one time, they were tagged with different names on them, Mallory for one, as that's who's brand I used along with Stewart & Warner. Same pump! I personally wouldn't give the guy over 400 bucks for it, as an old one can be restored to work and look like brand new. But, that's just me.
