I'm refreshing my 1965 BJ8 engine bay after 30+ years. The Anderson/Moment book on page 154 states, "Components painted engine green include the generator, starter engine mounts, heater valve, etc." Is this the heater control tap, Moss #835-620, or the drain tap, Moss #470-240, or both?
My heater control tap was left unpainted brass with a hard rubber sleeve on the handle (which I believe to be incorrect), but if it was painted at the factory, now is the time to do so. I'm confused between the terminology "heater control tap" and "heater valve." The same thing?
