Wire wheel leaks at spoke

Just bought new set of V rateds, hard to find for 15", and now one of the spokes leaks. Held air before.
Any thing to buy for the inside of the wheel to repair it?
I'll use slime if nothing else, but would rather not.

Suggestions appreciated.

For what I know I assume you are using the sealed Wire wheels. Sealed wheels have had the inner spoke ends sealed using a silicone resin material. Such wheels can be used without the need for an inner tube. If this is the case the wheel should be professionally repaired..slime will be temprary if it works at all....if not sealed then of course you have a bad inner tube and the spoke may just be the culprit needing to be better covered or resurfaced.

I don't think that slime will work. It's designed for punctures to the tyre, and there is no way to get it on to the rim near the spokes. Even if you could, centrifugal force would throw it all to the inside of the tyre as soon as you got the car moving.

Contact Hendrix wire wheel they can probably reseal the wheel for you. However, this type failure may be an on going problem with the wheels and a more economical approach may be to install rim bands and tubes.---Fwiw--Keoke

my wire wheels have that clear silicone sealer too and they also leaked every now and then, so I installed tubes and problema resolved. Air under pressure is like water under pressure, it's going to find a way to leak out.

I think it's time to get some aftermarket wheels, am concerened about reliability.
Anyone have any suggestions or comments on finding 15" wheels?

Aftermarket wheels if they are Wire Wheels will exhibit the same problems you are experiencing now unless they are fitted with Rim Bands and Tubes.---Fwiw--Keoke-?

Hi Exotexs, Those people no longer have the capability or desire to make repairs. When the outfit was big on service and sales it was owned by a LBC enthusiast. He sold the shop several years ago and moved to Hawaii.--Keoke
