Post-War Other Triumph Italia 2000 GT's

Well as my old Daddy would say..."a day late and a dollar short". Think I missed the boat on these along with 100M's , early XKE's and a number of other cars that are now TOP SHELF.
Still want to at least see one in person and hope to make the 2014 Gathering in NC where some should be.

I saw an unrestored one on a flatbed car-hauler truck on the surface streets in San Luis Obispo, CA a month or to ago. Perhaps on its way to or from XKs Unlimited. The restored red one at Triumphest here a few years ago was a delight. Because of the narrow Triumph chassis, the Italia is more slender than a similar body style would be on an Italian chassis, and all the better for it - especially with Dunlop wires.

Well, no Italias this year. Jay Leno did bring a Bristol, though, never seen one before....

Here we go again! I can't afford one but would sure like to have one. Can't wait till I see one in person and hope it is a restored one like the Red one above.

Sure. A quick google search turned up this...Of course, "Item is currently out of stock..." They must have sold all 320 of them. :highly_amused:

There are still unknown Italias to be found if you look hard enough.
I just got back from Italy with #216 which is absolutely original and only 6642 Kms from new!
