Hi guys, I spend most of my time here on the Healey forum but thought I would make a quick post here as I own a couple late(er) model Triumphs.
I rolled over 100K miles on my '97 T509 Speed Triple last weekend. The engine, transmission and clutch, etc are all as they left the factory except for the water pump that needed to be replaced around 60K miles...and that may have been my fault because I used automotive coolant once and it failed shortly after that. No other engine work has been done other than that and regular maintenance.
It leaks some oil but burns very little and runs and rides great. In all that time I have only been stuck once-by a fuel leak and they were recalled shortly after that for the issue and Triumph fixed it.
