Bugeye Moss Catalog Help

Hey guys,

I would like to replace all the little screws that secure the polished trim around the passenger compartment in my bugeye but I can't seem to find them in the Moss catalog. Can anyone help?

For reference, here's a photo of my BE. I'm looking for the screws that secure the trim above the dash and along the top of the doors. Mine are rusted and clash with the polished trim. Thanks!

Ted:

I think I used stainless from a hardware store. I do recall kits being sold somewhere (ah spares?).

Try an online bolt/hardware supplier. You can probably order some chrome ones.

I used alum from the hardware store, ACE.

And a very nice looking Bugeye it is.

1275?

I note the late model Tac and starter switch.

What is ahead of the shifter, speaker for that lovely radio?

Thanks for the help guys. I'll check out frog eye spares and the local ACE.

Jack, "Penny" has a 1098 mated to a Datsun 5-Speed. There's a speaker ahead of the shifter but it's not currently working. That project is a little further down the list. Cheers.

I used some nice stainless steel ones. Only difference is flat head vs slightly rounded head originals. Good forever.

VB on pg 48 has all the screws. Personally, I'm missing a screw and or have a few lose. Just kidding, but my kids would only agree.

I got my from Home Depot with philips heads in SS.
They worked great.

I would recommend stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers. I bought mine from a marine supply store!

English threaded hardware is nothing more than SAE. Shoot it is all over, fine and course.

Gesh, keep frogeting where you are.

Been thinking about this. I think I would use stainless. Chrome will chip and rust, and aluminum doesn't seem strong enough to pull things snug. Bright zinc will rust too. And... stainless is easier to find.
