Tourist Trophy Exhaust

So yeah,

Got sick of the "custom exhaust" POS that was hanging under my car that the PO had "special made". That meaning it was a Meineke hatchet job with a glasspack and some b%$&hin crome tips he cut the valence to fit.

So I bought the Moss Tourist Trophy polished stainless system for the car , from Paul D. at Sports car Craftsman here in Denver, and got to work. I bought the system that has downtubes from the stock manifold, had the header been an "LCB" type I probably would have gone that route.

wow,

I have never been so impressed. Fits friggin perfect, and I mean perfect, and looks absolutely gorgeous. Exhaust note has a pleasant burble to it but pretty quiet at idle and cruise, in short, exactly what I wanted.

Moss hit a home run with this one.

Looked it up, very sharp looking! Only thing is, you'll have to park the car over a large mirror now to show it off!

Last stainless system I bought was for the Lotus Cortina. Once we'd moved here to Florida the only concern was "road hazards" takin' a system off a car. Put a Monza on the MG, Stebro on the plastic cars.


...when I think of all the goodies that went with the sale of the Cortina I get really depressed. :frown:

I feel your pain and, looking at your signature list I can't beleive an enthusiast with such good tastes (meaning they match mine) does NOT own a Cortina!

So do you regret selling her? *he says knowing the answer full well*

Very much. It was in 1989, just acquired the MG and the Cortina needed the typical front-end chassis work. I opted to sell rather than have five cars. At the time the Elans were both good examples, the B was to be Herself's and I'd just put a lot of time and money into an Alfa GTV. I was driving the GT as a daily driver, the Cortina ~should~ have been next in the que for a rebuild.

Well Doctor you are in good company! My wife and I had been married a year and a half when we decided that maybe it would be best if we sell the RHD, Fairlady Z. And it wasn't just any old 2.0l Fairlady Z, it was a Grand Prix Maroon factory equipped G-nose car that a marine had brought back from Japan. Stupid, stupid, stupid,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Of course being able to afford groceries had its advantages too.
