Tachometer thrust button

Hi,
The mechanical tach on my BJ7 is missing the pinion thrust button. The tach has always worked until recently, so I'm not sure what happened to it. Anyway, Moss Motors does not have the part so I am wondering if anyone has any ideas on an alternative.
