I seemed to have solved my BN2 overheating issue with Texas cooler fan, a thorough flush and adding additional cells to the radiator. However, on hot days when the water temp hits about 190F (typically sitting at a traffic light), the engine starts missing heavily. I can resolve the miss slightly by pulling the choke. The miss goes away after I get rolling and the temp drops. Seems like a vapor-lock kind of issue. Any prevention suggestions? Insulating fuel lines and float bowl? I have the worthless little standard heat shield on the manifold. Was also wondering if the larger heat shield I saw in Norm Nock's technical articles was effective. Thanks for any ideas.
