Calling all Jeep fans-got a wotisit?

So, I stopped at my favorite Jeep shop today (Sunday, so it was closed) to look at a used Sahara for a friend of mine. Anywho, this place is small, and has been around forever-they usually have a few used Jeeps on the lot, and I don't think they even have a new one right now to sell (but the one car in their tiny showroom is a gorgeous '71 Wrangler). They're best known for their service department, and we take my sister's Cherokee there for work when she's in town. They can do just about anything to any model of Jeep, and since they've been around for decades, they even do AMC cars-last year they had a really cool Spirit AMX that I'd have bought if I'd had the cash.

Okay, so they always have some old parts cars and junkers out the back of the lot. Being a dumpster diver at heart I took a peek at the back row. They had a couple of crashed Cherokees being stripped of parts, a couple of far gone Jeeps, two AMC Eagle wagons (also being stripped for parts), and a Dodge truck. But over in the corner, under a tree was this:

I think it's a Jeep-but something makes me think it's an International of some sort. Note it's a panel van-the side windows are paneled over. It appears to be full of seat cushions. Someone must want to be able to get it out-it's parked on metal plates or something to keep it from sinking into the ground. On the other side of the tree branches is a very early Jeep Cherokee that's sunk halfway up the wheels. Note also the stack of three chassis and the engine on top. The exhaust on the engine looks fairly clean, so it was probably under a body fairly recently.

Anyway, to make a long post slightly longer, does anyone know what this thing is? I've no intention to buy it, but I have always had a soft spot for old Internationals and Jeeps, as well as panel vans. Combining the two is even better. Anyone know for certain?

That's a Jeep Wagoneer. Early SUV.

Maybe a two-door panel version.....kinda rare.

Built from 1963 to 1991, so a long run of these things.
There was also a Jeep Gladiator pickup truck with similar stying.
Some of these had an early (for the US) overhead cam engine (chain driven)
You can see how they influence the Cherokee styling.

~THIS~ is a similar Wagoneer.

Thanks for the replies-I was pretty sure it was a Jeep product, not IH, but I wasn't 100% on that. The panel van aspect got me as well-I've never seen one and wondered if it was a custom thing. After all, I knew a guy who had a mk.1 Volkswagen Rabbit GTi that he'd "panelized" by welding over the rear side windows. Used it for his auto parts business, delivering stuff.

Like I said, on the other side of the panel (to the left) is another early Wagoneer, this one obviously a Jeep. Friend of mine in high school had a couple of Wagoneers-I didn't know they made them for so long!

It almost looks like a Jeep Cherokee, with the back windows simply blacked out, certainly looks interesting anyway...

Speaking of Jeep's, I spotted this 1976 Jeep J10 Honcho on the weekend, and also chatted briefly with the owner, an $800 special, needs just a little bodywork...
