Spring Rebound Buffers- Big Rubber Things

OK any trick to reinstalling the Spring Reboud Buffer. That big rubber cone shaped thing that fits inside the spring. Other than greasing the tip and soaking in warm water to soften up. Any other tricks to get them into place.
 
Never mind, grease, push from below two hands and twist and it eventually goes in.
 
I used a flat bladed screwdriver to poke it into the hole but lubing is required too. An generous application of KentuckY jelly helps.
 
I lubed it (dish soap I think) and "screwed" it in - went in pretty easily.
 
Got past the Big Rubber Thingy Bit and DS is all installed. Now on to the PS ths week.
