Looking at this car on eBay...I know that it's been advertised many times before...

I'm curious about the rear bumper overriders...have a look. Did they not bolt up to the frame through the rear apron as the later cars do?

The other thing that bugs me is the installation of the steering shaft boot in the engine bay...why would you not fix that? :smile:

The commission plate tucked under the bulkhead panel and the conversion to short doors makes me a little suspicious, but it still looks nice. Also, to be fair it could be a good fun driving car. I'm just too picky anyway.

The rear bumpers did originally have the tubes to the frame; someone has just filled the holes with Bondo and not discovered until later what they were for.

Same with the column boot, just sloppy work IMO. Ditto the steering wheel, chrome hinges, sheet metal screws on the commission plate, battery box, stray wires around the wiper motor, wing beading, and so on.
 
Funny...the overriders are installed upside down too...and the brackets backwards! The commission plate is re-stamped by hand and screwed on...makes you wonder about the short doors? I don't think it was converted to short doors, but rather a lower number put on a later car.

The plate discrepancy might be why it has been relisted several times. At least grounds for a deep discount.
