I spent a large part of the weekend helping move Sportscar Craftsmen from their leased buildings in Wheat Ridge to a new "owner-occupied" location in Arvada. I certainly wasn't alone, as a large part of the MG Club and a number of members of the Tiger, Jaguar, Triumph, Mini, and other clubs also helped out.
But, more important to the forum, the orphaned cars I helped move were amazing--an MGC GT, an MGC roadster, a TD, two MGAs, lots of Midgets and MGBs, a TR250, a TR3, a TR6, a TR8, lots of TR7s, a couple of Spitfires, a Hillman convertible, a Tiger, two early Rover 3500s and an SD1, a Morris truck, a M-B 250SL, and on and on. Some had drive trains and interiors, others didn't. Most had bumpers, wheels, and tires and nearly all were stored inside--stacked three shelves high on heavy-duty industrial shelving. And, just before I left today, I heard that Paul Dierschow has another entire yard in Denver with 50 more cars in it!
So, if you are looking for a low-rust parts car or rust-free project car, give Paul a call at 303-422-4972 or E-mail him at mowogman@attbi.com. His phone number and E-mail address are the same, but his new address is 5635 Kendall Court, Arvada, CO 80002. Maybe he will be willing to part with some of his cars to help finance his new shop and yard. Incidentally, Paul is also a Moss parts dealer.
For those who don't know Paul, he is the last of the partners in Denver's old Scotland Yard British car shop to still be in that business in Colorado. The former Scotland Yard partners once owned probably the best twin-cam MGA in existence and one of them still owns the one and only MG EX186 factory "Le Mans" car (that never got to race).
