Good day in the garage despite temps being low the front of my garage was in the sun and it was actually pleasant working out there. Used my implements of destruction to cut the trunion bolt and wishbone and brake drum dropped down easily. I was all prepared to need to cut the bolts the connect wishbone to frame. To my surprise bolts spun off easily and wishbone bolts covered in Anti Sieze popped right out. Wishbone came out all intact. Good wishbone, good kingpin I believe. all looks good and can be repurposed for someone needing a Drum Braked assembly for the RF.
RF Shock, bolts spun right out. Again you could see Anti Sieze on the threads. I know this car has not been on the road for the past 35 years. And it has been stored inside for that entire time. Thanks again to the guys at the factory for applying Anti Sieze on bolts that typically are rusted up solid. I know Bugsy I getting these bolts out was a major, major PITA as they were rusted up solid and rusted to the bushings. Both Motor Mounts out. One to LF Tomorrow. That one should go faster. And Steering Rack to come out as well. At that point Bugsy II will be ready for Rotisserie duty. The progress continues.
