Sixty one folks looked at the Big Old Cat in the Grass pic and it was a bad one so I have posted a couple more that I hope are better. This must have been a beautiful car in its day.

Naw, unfortunately I won't be rescuing this. One LBC at a time; or would the Jag be a BBC? It's been there a long, long time and is pretty toasted. Would imagine that drive train could be worth serious money though.

Man, I love those big pigs. I want a MK7 in the worst way, but at best I could afford one with the tree growing out of the wheel well..... The cost of restoring a bad one would require the resources of a small country someplace. I service a really nice MK9 (The car you photographed). It has the rare Ruetters reclining seats, white steering wheel and well done added on AC. Like most MK9s, it is an automatic. The MK7s were available w/ 4 speeds, and when equipped that way had some very comfortable bucket seats. Plus I like the 2 part windshield and full "spats" of the early cars. Check the tool boxes in the front doors. The tool kit might bring as much as the rest of that car.

Sad, to see an old Jag Saloon in the weeds, dying.

Great cars in their day, technologically advanced, and powerful.
