BJ8 Overdrive Oil Passages

The BJ8's transmission mainshaft bearing is pressed into a housing. The housing has a pin that lines up and presses in the hole in the overdrive, I'm assuming to keep it from spinning. I've been lining that pin at 12 o'clock. Why does the overdrive have two holes that are the same size as the pin at 10 and 12?

The bearing housing has 1 pin and 2 holes that go through the housing. Those two holes will let oil through them when in the transmission case. When the pin is at 12 on the overdrive, neither of the two holes in the bearing housing match up with the one hole in the overdrive. However, if the pin is inserted at 10 o'clock, one of the holes will line up at 12 o'clock, and oil can flow between the transmission and overdrive.

Why does the housing have 2 holes that don't line up with overdrive? Why does the overdrive have one hole that doesn't line up with the bearing housing?

Pin should be at 12 o'clock, right?

Am I using the correct gasket design?

I bought a gasket set and made templets so I'm able to make my own gaskets. My templet is yellow.
Moss kit shows a different design. Right side middle.

Moss's overdrive gasket shows 3 small holes. When installed, 12 o'clock, 2 o'clock and 5 o'clock.
The overdrive has holes at 12 o'clock and 10 o'clock.

What are your thoughts about the long opening on the yellow intended for the layshaft and the transmission opening vs Moss separate two holes? I'm thinking the two separate holes are a better design for less oil leakage from the gasket.

What is the correct gasket thickness for the tranny and od? I'm using 1/64.
There seem to be different types of materials too. Karraopak okay?

Shall I assume the overdrive is used on other cars so the 2 small holes may line up differently with those cars?
Same for the bearing housing case is used in other cars, which may have small holes in different places?
Shall I assume those small holes are not used for oil passage?

Those are the same gaskets I used on my transmission. I think the additional question is what sealant to put on the gaskets. My transmission has a very slow drip, i.e., for every hour of driving, about 3 drips. I used Locktite 518 for sealant.
