Is there much movement of the bell crank on the pivot pin? Just wondering if all the used ones have worn too much after so many years of wear??? KarlDo you want a nice used one?? Got a few in the stash.

I'm already worn out....driving the TR3 brings me back to life.Everything wears out on a Tr, even the owner!!

Something about turning the key on a Tr3, and hearing it spring loudly to life, makes me feel 18 again.
Except now my hair doesn't get knots it after a drive!!

What is this "hair" thing you speak of?Something about turning the key on a Tr3, and hearing it spring loudly to life, makes me feel 18 again.

Ah yes if I had access to a machine shop I'd do that. What is this "hair" thing you speak of?
I tell people I'm a hair under six feet tall. that is, I'd be six feet if I had hair.
Re: wear in the bell crank: When I finished my TR4A restoration, I had an awful problem with erratic throttle response. After futzing with the linkage a lot, I took off the worn bell crank, machined out the wear, and trimmed some other parts to fit. Solved the problem completely.
