TR2/3/3A The carb linkage "bell crank".

Something about turning the key on a Tr3, and hearing it spring loudly to life, makes me feel 18 again.
Except now my hair doesn't get knots it after a drive!!

What is this "hair" thing you speak of?

I tell people I'm a hair under six feet tall. that is, I'd be six feet if I had hair.

Re: wear in the bell crank: When I finished my TR4A restoration, I had an awful problem with erratic throttle response. After futzing with the linkage a lot, I took off the worn bell crank, machined out the wear, and trimmed some other parts to fit. Solved the problem completely.

Ah yes if I had access to a machine shop I'd do that. :smile: Good to know that fixing the bell crank solved your problems. I I located a fellow in Canada who remade some bell cranks and I got the last one. It's on it's way as we speak.(y)
