Okay, it's not exactly British but I'm selling my BMW R75/5. Time to streamline the life down a bit.

Not a proper motor cycle.
There are no oil stains on the pavement under it.

That's only because I moved it outside for photos. Oil stains are in the garage...

Drew,

Remember what happened the last time you sold a motorcycle?

- Doug

I fully expect to buy another bike, Doug, if I do sell this one. It would be a newer bike, though, with less work to be done. It's not that I don't want to ride, but that I'm less interested in restoration work right now.

If it doesn't sell, I'll probably start to dive in to the work needed in the spring.

I've contemplated a Ural, though without the "extras" that bike has. A bit spendy, though.

Having some experience with Russkie equipment, and engines made in the Urals, I'll pass.

That's been my biggest concern as well. Quality has greatly improved, and they're using many of the same component suppliers as the major bike makers. In the end, though, I'll probably stick to just one maintenance-intensive vehicle at a time.

In the end I've decided to keep the bike and just put it away for a couple years. I really do like it, just can't even consider doing any restoration work for the next couple years. It's small enough to store in a corner for now.
