Hanging Falcon Exhausts

I have a problem that hopefully can find an answer to. I have on order the stainless Falcon headers for my TR6 and will hang the Falcon dual sport exhaust system behind it. I had the same system mounted before off the stock cast header, changed temporarily to Monzas and will go back to the dual stainless system again. Confused? Well, the problem with the Falcon system is no stock hangers work well with them at all. I know from experience. Does anyone out there have suggestions for custom brackets that will support the Falcon duals with rubber connectors to avoid "harmonic vibration" and the resultant damage of a rigid mounted exhaust. Some of you know that the Falcon exhausts are large and hang low. Any photos of custom hangers out there? The Monzas are giving me a migraine. The Falcons are mellow and robust. Plus, I had some custom 2.5"x6" tips made for the mufflers that look and sound great.

Hi Bill,

One thing you might consider is adding a flex coupling between the header and the exhaust system.

Other than that, I'd see what the local parts store has in the way of universal, clamp on hangers. 3 or 4 of those worked on my TR4 for many years, although I did often get a loud "clunk" when going over any sizeable bump. But, that was because of the 2-1/4" pipe routed through the TR4 frame. A flex coupling would definitely have helped! The universal hangers aren't all that different from the original hangers used on my car, but I know the routing for your car is quite a bit different.
