The Central PA Triumph club had our annual fall leaf tour of upper Dauphin county and the weather was perfect. We had over 20 cars participating in a tape rally through the countryside. The leaves probably have another week before they peak but they were nonetheless quite spectacular. The 70+ degree weather and unobstructed sunshine was fantastic and quite out of the norm for late October.
Here's an over-the-windshield shot of us following a TR4 down one of the many mountain roads we followed.
We wandered around the hills for about 50 miles before ending in a picnic grove for what has to be the world's best home-made ham & bean soup that was simmering in a big kettle over an open fire for over a day.
This, coupled with club member Ron's outstanding Chocolate Hazelnut Stout and his quite righteous IPA homebrew made it a great end to our fall leaf tour.
Wishing everyone a safe and colorful Fall Leaf Season from Central PA,
RonW
