OK guys - how do you make your hamburgers?

Mine: mix 85% lean ground beef with worcestershire sauce and chopped onion.

Grill over charcoal until done to taste.

Toast bulkie rolls (from Polish bakery down the street).

Slather mayo on the roll, add hamburger hot off the grill.

Top with two slices Vermont sharp cheddar cheese, sweet Georgia onion, sweet relish, and Brandywine tomato you picked this morning.

So ... how do you make yours?

I lean way out the window and say "I'll take a number - with a Coke and extra fries. (kidding)

Fresh ground longhorn seasoned with a pinch of salt and some pepper, grilled to order with some onion alongside, topped with lettuce tomato pickles and sharp cheddar, dressed with mustard (only condiment for burgers around here) and eaten on a toasted bun.

I was right with Tom until the mayo part.

Mayo in mac salad, fine. Cole slaw, fine. Not on a sandwich, ever. :nonod:

Doc - you could always choose a different mayo ...

Lean ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Broiled to almost black. On a bulkie with a slice of raw onion and ketchup. That's it.

My thoughts exactly doc... mayo and burger not allowed

Angus beef patty seasoned with McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning
Done medium-rare on a gas-grille because I'm too lazy for charcoal
Slice of Cabot (from VT) Monterrey Jack cheese put on to melt while still on the grille
Fresh Kaiser roll with romaine lettuce, fresh tomato, onion and a Claussen pickle burger slice
Heinz 57 and Cain's Mayo (Massachusetts stuff)
Cape Cod potato chips on the side.

Wow Tom, that burger looks great! and to think I almost had one...:sorrow:

I like Horse radish mustard the best! My wife thinks I'm crazy. I don't mind, she's been thinking that for years! :highly_amused: PJ
