Throttle linkage - I need a pic

I was told at a show the other day that I have the incorrect linkage on my carbs. It has HS4's and supossedly done by Curto. I find it hard to beleive so I either do have the wrong linkage and Curto did not do it or the "pointer outer" is misinformed. Does anyone have a front & top view of the linkage on a '67 HS4?

My vote goes to Joe.

Me too, I just want to make sure all is OK. This work was done years ago so who know what has happend since then.

The vertical bar in the pics which is part of the throttle linkage is different on mine. Mine is horizontal whereas yours is vertical. I'll have to check why mine might be wrong. I wish I had put some pics on Photobucket so I could look at them at work.

Vince - The "verticle bar" in the pictures is incorrect. It shoud be horizontal (actually a bit below horizontal) and under the choke linkage rod. It is used to set the 0.012" free play in the throttle linkage. As I recall, this is shown in the shop manual. I'll see if I can get some pictures of the set up on our MGB.
Cheers,

Brett's is correct. IIRC, Mike's setup as shown was pointed out as upside down cross bar.

EDIT: And VERY SHINY!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

So Brett's photo is accurate?

It appears the 'shiney photo' set of carbs is missing at least 1 return spring...there should be 3 - how many are there actually?

I needed 4 but I think that is wrong also. I had 3 on the throttle & 1 on the Choke. As long as the linkage is correct then I'll start from there.

There are 3 springs on the throttle - one for each carb and one for the center throttle shaft. The choke linkage shouldhave at least one spring (mine has one for each carb, but that makes for a hard pull on the choke knob. Other than the springs, Brett's picture is correct for the linkage on an early MGB.
Cheers,

Sweet! ats all i need
