I had some time this afternoon and I am reassembling my pedal box. There is a little bit of slop in the pedals and I thought about adding a washer in the middle to help stabilize and reduce movement on the pedal shaft. And it does reduce a certain amount of side to side slop. Yes I could drill out the pedals bolt holes by a very slight amount and fit a microfinish bolt. I did this once before on Bugsy I and I'm not certain I drilled the bearing surface squarely. And I even have one of those bolts around here. I'll leave that for another time.
Anyway as it stands now the washed does not move freely and is perhaps a bit crooked. I'm taking it back apart to grind an edge flat on the washer so it can rotate and move as needed. Pedals move freely returning to rest even before I add the return springs. Next steps is adding the pedal stop bolts. IS there a procedure on how the Pedal Stop Bolts are adjusted.
