Older seats and a smaller steering totally fixes the tight quarters in RWA Midgets. Cheap and easy.
I bought one just like that super cheap just to pull the 1275 for my racer.
That engine is now being rebuilt to race standards, but the car so nice, I threw a 948 in it two weeks ago and intend to keep it as (yet another) street car.
My brother had a near identical car, same year and color, in the 80s, I had a chance to buy it a couple owners later, but it needed some repairs and I needed something to drive right away. I drove it a couple times when my brothr owned it, it seemed both much tighter and quieter than my '67 Sprite (I had a header, maybe that was part of the noise difference).
If truly minimal rust on the CL car, not a bad deal.
I like my MK2 Sprite for that reason, it's got more room to the sides because no roll up windows. The later cars are definitely a little less comfortable, but they have their good points too.
