hey all, this is my first post here, so hopefully this is in the right section.
i'm doing research for a friend of mine who has recently aquired and is restoring a 1950 austin A40 sports. he bought it off a guy in seattle who stripped all the paint off the body and fortunetly completely filled the motor with oil before parking it outside for a good number of years. overall condition is not too bad, the motor is good, the alluminum body is in great shape, the only major poblems are that the steel floor is rusted out, seats are wrecked, and the convertable top is wrecked as well, actually all that's left of the top is the steel hoops. what i'm looking for is any and all engine specs (1200 cc 4 cylinder) like valve clearence, cylinder bore, piston size, stroke, torque settings, plugs, plug gap, stock carb settings. also any reference pictures of what the interior, convertable top, and engine bay should look like. pretty much anything that'll help him get this thing back to its original condition.
any help would be much apreciated
thanks alot
steve
btw it looks like the blue one, minus the hub caps.
