Got the '60 TR3A running today! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!

For some unknown reason the fuel seems to be bypassing the front carb. After the initial startup and run we stopped and checked things out and found that the front carb bowl was dry. Will address that tomorrow but your thoughts would be helpful. It ran much better with both carbs working, heh!
Going to run some Lucas fuel cleaner through it tomorrow. Probably should put a squirt or two directly into the carb bowls just to get rid of any bad fuel.

Awesome moment when it fires up - congratulations! I had the same issue with my TR-2 H4s, where the front bowl went dry. Turned out to be a sticking grose jet valve regulating flow into the bowl. Sometimes fuel sediment can be the root cause so make sure you are filtering the fuel.

I, too, have had a Grose jet stick closed when the carb sat for a spell. Modern fuel makes a pretty fair glue when allowed to dry out.

...not to mention whatever that coating they put on to preserve them until used. It takes some work with carb cleaner to get it all off and no longer sticking. -Ask me how I know.

Excellent! I bet you'll find that now that it's run a bit the compression numbers have come up to where they should be. Sitting un-used is much harder on equipment than continuous use.
