Heritage Certificate Interpretation help, please

My heritage certificate for the 54 finally arrived today, but I have one question about the trim indication. What is "of white" trim?

So black with an off white interior? That must have been a rare combo! Or, do they mean black with off white piping?
Was white interior even an option? If it was, i would assume that the carpet was black and only the seat covers were white???

Yes, Black BN1s were available with Off-White interiors, black piping on the seats. I am not sure on carpet color but I assume black...

Hmmm... I guess that this certificate was issued on a Monday or a Friday - in the finest traditions of the unions - as it has two typos: "Of" when they must have meant "Off," and distribuor" instead of "distributor."

So what do you expect for $81? (That's the cost of the last certificate that I got from them, plus I think that MasterCard tacked on a few dollars for foreign currency exchange.)

Wow- Your car was built only 250 cars ahead of mine! Still waiting on my Heritage Certificate... sure hope they use better spelling on mine.

I would be asking for a replacement due to the crappy spelling .

It was $120.00 actually because i ordered the detailed build sheet.

Richard said the car would have had black carpet and white seats with black piping. That is very cool and I can't imagine why someone would want to change it to light blue on light blue.

Or an "Aston Healey". How many times have we heard that?

Of course, I used to own an Alpha Romero (sic) so I'm used to that...

Is this 'off white' colour the same as the so called 'grey' colour (really a neutral parchment colour) that was in 100-Sixes. I've never seen a 100 with 'Off white' seats. Does anyone have any photos?

Pictures on page 180 of Bill Piggott's book "Austin-Healey 100 in Detail." Very striking. The seats are off white with black piping, the doors are off white, the carpets black, and on this example the dash is black. The car pictured (OUE 900) is said to be totally original.
