It was exactly one year ago today that I brought home my 1969 Sprite Mark IV. I thought I had some idea of what I was getting myself into, but it turned out I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. Lots of trials, tribulations, and tons of learning. Sometimes learning through trial and error, sometimes learning through luck, be it good or bad, and sometimes learning through genuine knowledge. Overall, though, it's been an amazingly fun ride, literally and figuratively. The smiles this car elicits from my daughter make every moment of hair-pulling frustration well worth it and then some.
Almost none of this would have been possible with the help and encouragement of all of you, and I thank each and every one of you for being there for me and Baby Blue this past year. In the world of vintage and classic cars, I don't think there are a group of people as uniformly nice and helpful as British Car Owners. Yes, we take our cars seriously, but not so seriously to the point where you miss out on having fun, which is what these cars are about.
