I was wondering what might be the value of my 1956 tr3, body off restoration? Also best way to sell her?
All numbers matching and runs great.

Very pretty car! Look at Bring a Trailer for recent TR2 and TR3 selling prices. Quite a few TR3s on BaT lately.

You do have the optional adjustable steering wheel and heater, dont see the OD switch.
My HO is, that this is car is 28 to 32K .( soft market) The restoration looks top of the mark.
Check production numbers ,could be one of the earliest Tr3's still around. I hope you have
AGREED value insurance(collector car ins) on this jewel. If you are covered to 40K,(or more) drive and enjoy
(like you're 18)

I fear that values/ prices are declining generally in the classic car world and the older the worse (not including vintage here).
And the more you move away from user friendly the worse.
The 2’s and 3’s I think suffer with no wind up windows and the use of a steering box. So the 4 onwards will do a little better.

But look at the 1980’/90’s boy racer cars and over here the prices are high.

I guess it the age of the buyer that dictates their youth desired cars and in a position to now afford them. Same with motorcycles.
I lusted after a Honda cbx back in the ‘80’s but couldn’t afford one. But now they are expensive but I could just about justify one.

Ts9751 old gal, mad dog. Oh to be 18 again 😬. Since I’m not and have broken left leg 2x and shattered right wrist, she’s uncomfortable for me to drive much. Want her to belong to someone that will. And also insured up the wazoo.
The appraisal I had done in 2012 after restoration said 30k.
Thanks for replies

I use Lucas gold(you don't want to risk electron confusion) In 25 years I have only had one fail
(out of dozens). I believe it was heat related and now I use an insulator between the block and
the mount bracket. My other theory was that there are only so many sparks in a coil from the factory.
Naturally this theory is 3 beer related.....
