Spitfire Wiring Dash

I've got most of my dash wiring figured out (let's hope) except for the speedometer. Does anybody know which wires (which colour) goes to which lead? I've got the lights and cables figured out. It's just the leads. And if you know that, then maybe you'll also know where the courtesy lights attached beneath the dash. Thanks!

Based on what you said above, this is probably more information than you want.

You have a voltage stabilizer (rectangular box) on the back of the speedo. At least two wires go there. A dark green wire will attach to the terminal labeled "B". A lighter green wire from the other gauges should go to the "I" terminal. (B for battery, I for instruments). Sometimes other circuits connect a second green wire to the "B" terminal.

The other lights (in the arc) are indicators for the high-beams, oil pressure, and charge warning (a.k.a. Ignition Warning). The lamp socket with a blue/white wire will plug in behind the blue jewel. The lamp socket with a white and white/brown wire goes behind the green jewel. Finally, the lamp socket with the white and brown/yellow wire will plug in behind the red jewel.

There will also be an illumination lamp. Look for a lamp socket with a red or red/white wire on it. That plugs into the socket with the plastic insert.

Finally, the speedometer MUST have a ground connection. That is typically handled with a black wire that has a ring terminal on its end. The ring terminal goes over one of the studs on the back of the speedometer and is held to the gauge when you tighten the thumb nuts securing the gauge to the dash.

Fantastic! There are three wires that fit the ticket, plus I have the ground wire that I wasn't sure where it went. Everything else looks solid. I've even checked all the bulbs, so I should be able to put my dash back together once my rheostat arrives. Then I can wire the engine! Thanks!
