Just got my May "Classics Motorsports"...article on 6 unloved sports cars pits Scott Keating's '77 rubber bumper MGB against a Corvair, TR7, Porsche 928, BMW 320i, & Maserati Biturbo....guess the prices of rubber bumper MG's is about to go up!

& I'm disassembling a '79 that'll go to the crusher next week!....but I do have that old LE for sale!

Hey, Marvin - found me a Triumph Bonneville or Tiger yet?

Well, since the article is out I'll post my pictures from the photoshoot to the general public. I don't know about MG prices going up, but maybe mine will /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif : https://www.aerog.com/ocalapub/

"As Seen In..."!!!!!

I'll tell ya, Scott - the MG really stod out in that crowd!

I've been reading about Biturbo's for a bit & look forward to reading what they said later tonight...

So what's the big deal. The front and rear fiberglass?

I mean nice ride but so.......lot of you guys have nice rides.

I don't think his bumpers were replaced with fiber glass... I *think* they're the stock rubbers painted... Aerog?

Oh, why not. Why don't all you guys do that. Looks much better for sure.

Yup they're original, no fiberglass in there.

truth be told, jlaird, I'm seriously considering fiberglass bumpers for my car... although, I find the styling of the bumpers used on Stewart's car more appealing than the stock replicas....

but there's many many things on my list of things to do before I get around to messing with makin' my B purdy.

Great pics scott!

I liked the article too.

Doesn't seem like 18 seconds to 60mph, but then again everything feels faster in such a small car. I like my bumpers black (on my car)... they work well with the yellow on my car and the black sidestripes.

it's that 3rd gear man! The acceleration curve goes into the negatives once you hit 3rd... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

ok ok ok ... maybe it's not 3rd gear's fault... but acceleration does go out the window once third gear is reached...

Are you saying you're selling a Bonnie & throwing in a Commando for free?

That's a good way to lose well over 100 pounds from the car (in the worst place possible - outside the wheelbase) and improve handling.

Amen!

I missed out on a triumph motorcycle that a guy wanted to sell for $400 to get his car out of hock - several years back. I thought it was pretty cool looking - not sure what model it was though.
